Hodes Milman represented a 47-year old woman who developed intractable pain syndrome as a result of a surgical mishap during her total vaginal hysterectomy. After the hysterectomy, the plaintiff returned to the hospital with pain and a CT scan showed a right hydronephrosis and was taken into surgery again. The surgery revealed her right ureter had been cut during her hysterectomy and as a result, she had to receive a right ureteronecystostomy and continues to suffer from pain.
