The Huffington Post reports that a line of infant sleep aids called HALO SleepSacks have been recalled due to a potential choking hazard from a decorative element attached to the front of the sleeper.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission received six consumer reports of decorative fabric flowers detaching from the sleepers, including one report of an infant found gagging on the petals. The SleepSacks in question were sold exclusively at Babies R Us stores between December 2011 and July 2013 and have the following GPU numbers printed on the neck label: 2701, 2781, 2886, 2887, 3007, 3035 and 3142.
Consumers are advised to discontinue use of the item and contact HALO innovations for a replacement product.
