James A. Chortanian
James A. Chortanian is an associate attorney at Hodes Milman, where his practice is focused on prosecuting medical negligence and personal injury matters. Prior to joining Hodes Milman, James defended physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases for almost nine years. Realizing that his true passion is to help victims of negligence, James joined Hodes Milman in 2022, bringing with him years of experience in defending healthcare providers.
James’ experience provides him with a unique insight regarding the workup and strategy that goes into both defending and pursuing medical negligence and personal injury matters. This experience allows James to optimize his litigation strategy and obtain the best possible results for his clients. As a result of his early success, James has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in 2020, 2021, and 2022 in the area of medical malpractice by Super Lawyers Magazine.

James graduated cum laude from Whittier Law School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of California, Irvine.
