A 34-year old man was riding his motorcycle when the car in front of him allegedly made a sudden U-Turn, causing him to catapult over the hood of the car, resulting in numerous fractures, leaving him unable to properly perform his job as a body repair technician. The defendant alleged that he was forced to make an evasive maneuver because another car pulled in front of him, and that the motorcyclist had purposefully sped up to get around the car. The responding police officer found the motorcyclist at fault. The motorcyclist was represented by Daniel M. Hodes of Hodes Milman and obtained a $375,000 settlement.
