Partner Jeff Milman was featured on in an interview discussing the Medical Injury Compensation Act (MICRA) cap, California’s limit on monetary damages for medical malpractice cases. Mr. Milman discusses how the law was passed in California, how to increase this cap, and what juries should know when deciding on a medical malpractice case. Mr. Millman explained that juries are often uniformed about MICRA limitations, capping damages at $250,000 for the plaintiff. He explained what an attorney can do to help obtain more money for their clients as well as the common hurdles in the jury selection process.
