Jeff Milman participated in a discussion in the Los Angeles Daily Journal commenting that the recent Oregon multimillion dollar verdict for plaintiffs will set the pace for multiple cases filed against pain pump manufacturers. Pain pumps, which deliver painkillers to a targeted area of the body, allow patients to recover from surgery sooner and in less pain. However, in recent years the devices have been connected to a debilitating joint ailment called chondrolysis in patients treated for shoulder injuries.
Mr. Milman is currently representing one of the plaintiffs who suffers from chronic shoulder pain due to the pain pump eroding the cartilage in his shoulder. Additionally, Mr. Milman is involved in both federal and state coordination efforts in the Superior Court.
